Sky-high Price of NT$739,999: Travel 1/3 of the Earth on a Luxury Train

What kind of trip costs a sky-high NT$739,999? A domestic bank has collaborated with a travel agency to offer the “Century Train Siberian Luxury Journey 17 Days 16 Nights,” spanning 11,000 kilometers—approximately one-third the Earth’s circumference. Participants will travel on one of the world’s most luxurious train lines to explore the world’s longest railway: the Trans-Siberian Railway.

The Trans-Siberian Railway is a 9,000-kilometer historic route that represents the ultimate dream journey for travelers. Additionally, riding the British GW Golden Eagle luxury train to explore Russia and Mongolia makes it one of the world’s top eight most luxurious train journeys.

The Century Train Siberian Luxury Journey, a 17-day, 16-night rail adventure, spans 8 time zones, crosses 16 Eurasian rivers, visits 2 countries, and stops at 9 major towns and attractions. Stretching from Moscow to Vladivostok, the journey takes you through the charm of Russian towns, the boundless expanse of the Siberian plains, the desert-like beauty of the Mongolian grasslands, and the breathtaking scenery of Lake Baikal. You’ll also have the chance to visit iconic sites such as Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, and Ulaanbaatar—making this trip truly unforgettable.

Currently, there are only two types of trains operating on the Trans-Siberian Railway. One of them is the highly popular “Golden Eagle Luxury Train” (The Siberian Golden Eagle Express), built in 2007 by the British GW Travel Company. It is recognized as one of the world’s eight most luxurious trains, equipped with high-end amenities and offering top-tier services. It travels between Moscow, Vladivostok, and Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. The onboard dining is also a luxurious experience: featuring locally sourced ingredients, it offers premium dishes from various regions along the route, including traditional Russian cuisine, omul fish from Lake Baikal, world-renowned caviar and vodka, and round-the-clock tea and snacks—all included in the package for a truly luxurious journey.
