Children's Day is approaching – The Queen's Head of Yehliu invites families to enjoy playful fun together

“Recycled cardboard boxes turned into pinball tables, straws transformed into artworks!” The Yehliu Nature Center invites local elders and traditional crafts experts to set up playful fun booths within Yehliu Geopark from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on April 5, inviting visitors to celebrate Children's Day together with the Queen's Head.

The Yehliu Nature Center will set up playful fun booths within Yehliu Geopark on April 5, inviting visitors to play traditional games and celebrate Children's Day. On-site booths will include straw art, bale twine weaving, beanbag tossing, polymer clay art, ring toss, cotton candy, and marbles – all activities are free to try, with only the park entry fee required. Additionally, visitors who collect three different experience stamps from the booths can fill out a questionnaire to redeem a special souvenir.

Yang Jingqian, General Manager of Yehliu Geopark, stated, “Children's Day should not be an exclusive holiday for kids; it is also an important day to reawaken the childlike spirit in adults. Through traditional games, adults can rediscover their inner child, while children can learn more about the life experiences of their elders. This Playful Fun Carnival aims to connect the past with the present, creating opportunities for parents and children to learn together and pass on the simple, innocent spirit of traditional play.”
