The 2013 Kenting Music Festival Kicks Off – "Spring Sway Pretty Girl" Crowned on the Beach

The upcoming eighth edition of the "2013 Kenting Spring Music Festival" will be held at Hengchun Airport from April 5 to April 6. The organizers have invited a variety of well-known domestic singers as well as internationally acclaimed electronic music DJs to rock the event with everyone. In addition to the musical performances, 2013 also features a special beauty pageant themed “Sunshine, Beach, Bikini,” aiming to select the most stunning "Spring Sway Pretty Girl" on the beach.

The "Spring Sway Pretty Girl" pageant, themed around “Sunshine, Beach, Bikini,” aims to attract more music-loving friends to join in the musical celebration. Co-organizer Yam.com’s PK Bar also held an online voting campaign for the pretty girls on its official website. The top three favorites among netizens are Miranda, a first-year student at the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts, who loves sunshine, beaches, and music and hopes to party with everyone at Spring Sway; first-time participant AMBER; and the curvaceous Ashley. Each contestant has her own unique charm and will also appear at the Kenting Spring Music Festival.

On the day of the event, the pretty girls will showcase their walk and interact with the audience on stage. The finalists will compete in the finals on Friday, April 5, and Saturday, April 6, where judges will select the top 10 Spring Sway Pretty Girls and then crown the top 3 winners. The top three will each receive two tickets to the inaugural 2013 Singapore Spring Sway Music Festival and a round-trip flight between Taipei and Singapore.

The 2013 Kenting Spring Music Festival will feature two days of four concerts, with separate themes for the main stage and the EDM stage. Renowned artists such as Chen Qizhen, Sodagreen, Chang Chen-yue, Yoga Lin, Hebe Tien, Olivia, MC HotDog, and MJ116 will take turns performing on the main stage over two days, with each artist playing for one hour. The six-hour marathon performances each day will drive the atmosphere to its peak.

Following the main stage performances, there will be an EDM party. This year, the organizers have spared no expense in inviting German EDM maestro ATB to make a grand finale performance in Taiwan. Also appearing are Dutch champion DJ RANK 1, the superstar DJ duo Super8 & Tab, and other renowned international EDM artists who will party with the audience through the night—ensuring the nights in Kenting are anything but lonely.
