Janet shares an intense kiss with model Luqi, praises the beauty of Orchid Island after traveling across Taiwan

The "Crazy Taiwan Challenge," hosted by Janet, held a three-month-long “Who Knows Taiwan Best?” competition. American amateur model Luqi turned the tables from the lowest score to win the championship. At the moment the winner was announced, Janet, who had watched Luqi battle through all the challenges, couldn't contain her excitement and hugged and kissed her. Touched, Luqi said she loved the scenery of Orchid Island the most and also enjoyed Taiwanese dumplings the best, adding that she plans to bring her mother back to Taiwan for another trip.

The "Who Knows Taiwan Best?" competition, held by "Crazy Taiwan Challenge," lasted three months and the final episode featured an intense and dramatic process. American amateur model Luqi started with the lowest score and was even once on the verge of elimination with negative points. She herself said, “I probably didn’t stand a chance!” Unexpectedly, in the second half, she caught a lucky break, answered a bonus question correctly, and eventually made a stunning comeback to win.

Michael, a Taiwanese-American Harvard graduate who lost by a narrow margin, expressed regret at not winning the championship, but said, “Since my family is from Taiwan, being able to participate in this competition was very meaningful.”

At the moment the champion was announced, Janet, who had watched Luqi battle through all the challenges, couldn't contain her excitement and hugged and kissed her. Thinking that she had actually beaten a Harvard-educated Taiwanese-American top student, Luqi herself couldn't believe it. During the journey across Taiwan following the "Crazy Taiwan Challenge," her favorite place was Orchid Island. With the ongoing heated debates about the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant, she expressed regret, saying, “It’s such a beautiful place, yet it stores so much nuclear waste — it’s really a shame.”

Luqi also believes Taiwan is a food paradise: “I love dumplings the most. In Taiwan, dumplings from any random small shop on the street are super delicious.” The first time she heard the garbage truck music, she thought it was an ice cream truck, and was amazed to see everyone coming out of their homes to throw out the trash together.

Janet said the final three contestants each had their own unique strengths. Luqi had been very diligent from the start of the challenge, even using her breaks to research information about Taiwan. “Some questions were really hard — even Taiwanese people might not be able to answer them.” These foreign friends got to know Taiwan in just three months and managed to answer nearly a hundred quiz questions. “It’s no exaggeration to call them real Taiwan insiders!”

After the competition, Janet temporarily put aside the pressure of a packed schedule the next day and stayed up all night singing karaoke with the contestants, reluctant to part with the precious bond they had formed over the past three months. Luqi will be able to invite a friend to explore ten selected top attractions in Taiwan, not only with free round-trip airfare but also with $10,000 shopping credit to spend as she pleases. The winner happily said, “Taiwan is just too beautiful and too much fun. I want to bring my dear mom back to continue our crazy Taiwan adventure!”
