What kind of food can represent Taiwan? If you say bubble tea, most people would agree. Emerging in the 1980s, bubble tea quickly became an extremely popular drink on every street corner. Coupled with the overseas expansion of many chain tea brands in recent years, bubble tea has gained even greater fame after crossing the seas. Some businesses have noticed the popularity of bubble tea and have launched bubble tea-flavored ice cream and pancakes at their outlets. With its unique taste and the fact that people of all ages are fascinated by bubble tea, these two new products became the most popular items in the store as soon as they were launched.

In fact, this isn’t the first time COLD STONE has launched a bubble tea-themed product. Last winter, the first-ever bubble tea ice cream sparked heated discussions online, selling an astonishing 100,000 cups in just under two months. This year, after gathering feedback from various sources, COLD STONE has introduced an upgraded version of bubble tea ice cream, featuring not only innovative ingredients but also more refined details.

This strongly returning bubble tea ice cream has been named “Premium Happiness” by COLD STONE. The main ice cream is made using Ceylon black tea, emphasizing an “extremely rich and mellow” milk tea flavor. The topping has been changed to Ceylon black tea jelly, which is fresh and light with a lingering tea aroma. Additionally, it features luxurious black sugar pearls cooked in rich black sugar syrup paired with white jade pearls. The two-tone pearls are Q弹 (chewy and bouncy) without being tough, delivering an authentically delicious texture. The freshly baked pancake is even more creative, with the two-tone pearls sandwiched inside, paired with Ceylon milk tea ice cream and Ceylon black tea jelly — a truly inventive treat that tastes best when served warm.

Xue Huiling, marketing manager at COLD STONE, said, “Our customers have very high standards for bubble tea pearls. This time, COLD STONE has gone the extra mile with the pearls. The black pearls are simmered in black sugar syrup, and when eaten with freshly baked pancakes, they give off a rich caramel fragrance. Meanwhile, the white jade pearls are fresh and refreshing, perfectly complementing the tea-rich milk tea ice cream.” Currently, COLD STONE plans to launch new products every one and a half to two months to ensure customers who love trying new things always have the latest options when they visit.
