Love cake? Located in Kaohsiung’s Oyster Liao area, there’s a wildly popular queue-worthy treat called “Pinming Oil-Free Freshly Baked Cake.” Aside from being freshly baked, these cakes contain no oil, artificial flavorings, coloring, or butter—just simple ingredients like flour, fresh milk, and eggs, all with the goal of keeping things healthy.

Originally, Pinming Oil-Free Freshly Baked Cake was only open on Saturdays and Sundays, but due to its healthy, oil-free, and delicious offerings, more and more people have fallen in love with their cakes. Now, they’re closed only on Mondays and Tuesdays, and open every other day. There are eight flavors to choose from: Original Vanilla, Bursting Chocolate, Pumpkin Cheese, Brown Sugar Walnuts, Fragrant Lemon, Berry Manor, Cheese Carnival, and Lobster Sakura Shrimp. Among them, Cheese Carnival and Bursting Chocolate are highly recommended by many.

For pricing, the Original Vanilla small box is NT$105 and large is NT$150; Bursting Chocolate is NT$135 (small) and NT$190 (large); Pumpkin Cheese is NT$135 (small) and NT$190 (large); Brown Sugar Walnuts is NT$135 (small) and NT$190 (large); Fragrant Lemon is NT$135 (small) and NT$190 (large); Berry Manor is NT$185 (small) and NT$285 (large); Cheese Carnival is NT$165 (small) and NT$230 (large); and Lobster Sakura Shrimp is NT$165 (small) and NT$230 (large).

However, currently only on Saturdays and Sundays are all eight flavors available. On Wednesdays, you can find Original Vanilla, Bursting Chocolate, and Pumpkin Cheese; on Thursdays, Original Vanilla, Brown Sugar Walnuts, Cheese Carnival, and Fragrant Lemon; and on Fridays, only Original Vanilla, Pumpkin Cheese, and Cheese Carnival are sold.

Since oil-free cakes are labor-intensive and time-consuming to bake, the shop has limited production and reserves most for walk-in customers, so even though pre-orders are accepted, the number of orders they can take is quite limited. Orders can be placed by phone or via Facebook private message.
