In spring (April to June) of next year (2018), Taiwan Railways will launch four cruise-style train tour packages with unique features, offering innovative itineraries and all-inclusive tickets, meals, and accommodation, hoping to revive the declining domestic tourism market.
Railway travel in Taiwan has long been restricted in terms of itinerary planning. Next year, Taiwan Railways’ spring rail tours break away from old conventions, encompassing transportation, meals, accommodation, sightseeing, guided tours, and more. It's an excellent choice for busy individuals who usually have no time to plan their trips.
This time, Taiwan Railways has specially incorporated elements of Taiwan’s railway culture into the tours, such as the Fan-shaped Train Depot in Changhua, train-pushing in Yilan, and the Taitung Railway Art Village. Taiwan Railways stated that to enhance the sophistication of the tours and better cater to individual traveler needs, this season includes a special option on April 28 and 29: a choice between a wine estate visit and a trip to Toucheng Farm.
