Taiwan’s Largest Hot Pot Restaurant, Dagoubà, Grandly Opens – Enjoy 60 Types of Ingredients All-You-Can-Eat for Just Under NT$600

Hai Pa Wang was once the leader of Taiwan’s hot pot scene. Although in recent years the Hai Pa Wang Group has shifted into the business hotel market—with 11 locations across Taiwan—recently, the group has spotted renewed growth in Taiwan’s hot pot market. They have thus launched a new hot pot brand, Dagoubà, which spans 1,000 ping (approximately 3,300 square meters) and features 600 seats, making it the largest hot pot restaurant in Taiwan. It officially opened on May 5.

Dagoubà will open two branches on May 5. One is located on the first and basement floors of Ximending Deli Villa, covering 1,000 ping, with 600 hot pot seats and 200 Japanese cuisine seats. In addition to hot pot, the restaurant also offers regular Japanese dishes, allowing diners to enjoy both while dining. It even incorporates elements of Japan’s standing sushi bars. Moreover, Dagoubà is the first hot pot restaurant in Taiwan to offer breakfast hot pot dishes and serve meals all day long.

For individual hot pots, prices start at NT$238, giving you a set featuring fresh vegetable and meat platters. But there are also all-you-can-eat options beloved by Taiwanese. These include the Sea & Meat Flame set-style hot pots at NT$398/NT$498 per person. The NT$598 “Flame All-You-Can-Eat” set allows unlimited refills of specified items. For example, with the NT$598 Flame set, six types of meat, 16 types of dumplings, nine à la carte sides, nine types of seafood, 14 types of vegetables, five types of mushrooms, and two types of braised dishes can all be ordered without limit. During the opening period, tuna sashimi is also available all-you-can-eat. However, to ensure ingredient freshness, the limit is eight dishes per order, with a maximum of two types of meat, and a dining time limit of 120 minutes.

Before its official opening, Dagoubà conducted a three-month trial run, during which it is estimated that over 100,000 customers got a sneak peek. The restaurant will officially open for business on May 5 and is also launching an opening promotion. From May 5 to June 4, diners who order the Flame or Sea & Meat Flame set meals at Dagoubà will receive a voucher for a complimentary individual Japanese-style pork hot pot (valued at NT$238).
