Ichiran Ramen officially opened on the 15th today. Even though the weather was bad and it kept raining, it couldn't dampen the fans' enthusiasm. As early as 2 a.m., food bloggers came to reserve spots for the first servings (three friends came together). Even celebrity Tai Chi-yuan came to pay homage. However, Tai Chi-yuan said with a smile that to avoid people saying he was using special privileges, the producer queued up at 6:30 a.m. and got the 19th spot, but after queuing, it was him who ate while the producer couldn't, to show fairness.

On the first day of opening, fans of Ippudo Ramen braved heavy rain to queue up. By 11 a.m., just before opening, nearly 300 people were already waiting in line. Among them, one person arrived as early as 2 p.m., and another superfan showed up at 3:30 p.m.—this person has visited Ippudo more than 20 times, even eating there for all three meals while traveling in Japan, and has also tried the Hong Kong branch. They were wearing an Ippudo T-shirt and looked genuinely proud, saying, “This is the real thing,” and that this was the best ramen they’d had in a while, ranking first among all the ones they’ve tried.

When Ippudo Ramen opened stores in Taiwan, comedian Tai Zhiyuan also came to visit (for a show shoot). He didn’t expect such a long line and said his goal was to see if the taste is the same as in Japan.
In addition to lining up early in the morning, one Mr. Wu bought a whole box of souvenirs (Ippudo Hakata thin straight noodles) after eating ramen, spending a total of 18,000 NT dollars. Mr. Wu said these souvenirs will be given to relatives and friends in Tainan. But unfortunately, he thought the "6000-yuan priority seating" was canceled, so he lined up first and then bought souvenirs. The "6000-yuan priority seating" had to be applied for in advance and settled at the counter, and then you had to queue again separately, and it could not be used for the next time, so Mr. Wu was unable to enjoy the priority seating.
