In Shanhua District, Tainan City, the"Ximei Community Forest Park",originally a nursery for the Shanhua Sugar Refinery, was later turned into a park due to market factors. It has earned some local recognition for planting nearly 300 Chinese parasol trees.When the summer heat arrives, walking among the trees brings a refreshing feeling, turning it into a cool retreat. The shaded greenery attracts not just families but also many couples seeking scenic backdrops.

The Ximei Community Forest Park is located atthe intersection of Provincial Highway 19A and County Road 122, next to the Shanhua Ximei Post Office. On just 0.5 hectares of land, nearly 300 Chinese parasol trees grow, overlapping to form a green world. Their tall trunks resemble giant umbrella handles, with their dense leaves—like the umbrella canopies—stretching endlessly toward the sky, as if a massive umbrella is working hard to shade the community.

For locals, it’s a great spot to cool off in the summer. If you get the chance to visit Shanhua in Tainan, consider taking a walk in the Ximei Community Forest Park. Even just sitting and daydreaming on one of the park’s leisure chairs is a wonderful experience.
