Everyone calls it "Rabbit Island," but its real name is Ōkunoshima, locatedHiroshimaPrefecture, about 3 kilometers off the coast of Tadanae in Takehara City. There are various theories about the large population of rabbits on the island. Some say that after this site, once used for chemical weapon production during World War II, was abandoned, the rabbits used in experiments remained. Others claim that local residents simply released a few rabbits to roam freely. But the biggest draw is undoubtedly those adorable bunnies — they swarm around visitors the moment they see alfalfa pellets or carrots. Absolutely heartwarming and healing to watch.

rYingloulu? The reason why... in the strong section
It turns out that not only people from Hong Kong love hot springs, but even the monkeys in rYingliao have developed a fondness for them. Located in NaganoPrefecture’s Jigokudani Monkey Park, which has always beenone of Japan’smost popular hot spring destinations, ever since wild monkeys started visiting, the park’s main attractions are no longer just the hot springs but also these world-famous snow monkeys. In winter, you can see them playing in the steaming hot springs, with only their pink faces peeking out. They look both adorable and amusing.

3. Mr. Fox: Zao Fox Village
As a child, I always thought foxes only knew how to say "what time is it," but it turns out they can also be adorable too. At Zao Fox Village in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture, there are over 100 foxes of six different breeds, including silver foxes, blue foxes, Arctic foxes, and more. They don’t feel aggressive as you might imagine—in fact, when their eyes narrow into slits, they’re incredibly cute. When the park is open, visitors can get up close, feed them, or even pet them.

AtNaraPark, many people might think of red leaves, but actually, seeing the deer herds is the highlight. It’s said thatNarais home to as many as 1,200 deer, and you’ll see them strolling leisurely throughout the park, showing no fear of humans. Likewise, if you want to try being surrounded by a herd of deer, just bring a sheet of deer crackers.
