Super weird? Beef noodle shop only allows female customers—men can’t even get near the windows

A beef noodle shop that stirred up heated discussions among netizens last Friday (the 28th) was in the spotlight because of a sign posted at the entrance that read “Female customers only, men please keep away,”It’s rumored that this new rule was put in place because the female owner is too beautiful—and has even been harassed recently—forcing the once-popular eatery to implement the restriction; ETtoday News Cloud reporters who visited the site found that not only does the owner turn away male customers, but men aren’t even allowed to approach the shop, creating an atmosphere like a small “women’s kingdom,” with no male customers within a one-meter radius of the storefront.

This beef noodle shop, named “Honglin Xiaozhu,” is located within the Far East Science Park. It’s usually frequented by office workers in the area, and stops serving food after 2 p.m. on Fridays. During lunchtime, the shop remains very busy, though all the customers are female. A large sign at the entrance reads “Women only,” and the entire shop has only one male—the owner himself.When asked why only female customers are allowed, the owner replied, “It’s a personal reason, I’m not comfortable discussing it!” and declined to be interviewed. Female customers who had just eaten said, “We’re not sure why it’s women-only—there wasn’t such a rule before!”

“Sorry, we only serve female customers here!” When a male customer “accidentally” walked in, the owner standing by the cash register immediately came out to stop him. The confused man simply left, and contrary to what some netizens claimed, there was no verbal abuse toward those who entered by mistake. However, the policy of only allowing female diners—both for eating in and takeout—stands out even more in an office-filled district.The owner even put up a sign at the entrance that reads “Please do not peer into the shop in order to protect the rights and interests of our customers and staff.” Even the takeout window has notices that say “There have been recent reports of unusual harassment; please do not peer into the window or stand too close to it, out of respect for our staff’s rights” and “The entire shop is under video surveillance, please behave appropriately.” The extreme level of caution gives off a rather eerie vibe.
