In recent years, the mountains and campsites in Hong Kong have suddenly become crowded. What was meant to be a relaxed weekend trip often turns out more bustling than the city. Camping could be a better option. InTaiwanNantouCounty — a region blessed with abundant mountain resources — there is a tea plantation campsite that is particularly favored byTaiwanesepeople. Not only can you enjoy sunrise over the sea of clouds, but at night you can also take in glittering night views and the starry Milky Way, all in one go to satisfy those who love landscape photography.

Located in Wujie, Ren’ai Township, the Wujie Happy Tea Garden Camping Area sits at an altitude of 1,400–1,500 meters. The tea trees here are constantly shrouded in mist, which helps cultivate high-quality high-mountain oolong tea. Many visitors come specifically to admire the tea plantation scenery.

The campsite has multiple zones, and even if you don’t have your own tent, you can still enjoy the experience, as they offer 8 rentable camping pitches. One tent with a living area costs NT$1,600 (about HK$400), accommodating up to 4 people. The fee includes access to water taps, electricity and water, as well as tables and chairs for 4 people. There are also 8 bathrooms and 8 toilets available for free use, with complimentary shampoo, body wash, and hairdryers — the amenities are quite complete, offering a near five-star camping accommodation experience. Of course, you’ll still need to bring your own sleeping bag, mattress, food, and other necessities. Camping under the majestic mountain scenery is surely a dream for many nature lovers.
