Waiting in line but not getting to ride a hot air balloon? Taitung County Government offers “guaranteed spots”

During the summer vacation, hot air balloons take flight in Taitung, Hualien, and Kaohsiung. However, since the key to a successful launch depends on weather and temperature, timing is crucial. Many people arrive early in the morning to wait, but may still not get the chance to ride. To address this, the Taitung County Government has launched a special program that guarantees 80 residents a spot on afternoon hot air balloon flights, provided the weather permits.

The Taitung County Government has introduced the “Enjoy Taitung: Hot Air Balloon Carnival One-Day Tour” themed event. Travelers who use this program won’t have to worry about the disappointment of waiting in line early in the morning but not getting a ticket—or buying one only to miss out due to weather or other factors. There’s no need to stress over wasted waiting time. The county government guarantees 80 priority afternoon spots, and has also created an enriched travel itinerary including family fun, emotional and intellectual enrichment, local cuisine, scenic attractions, and health industry experiences. The package costs just NT$1,300 per person, which includes a guaranteed priority afternoon tethered hot air balloon ride, transportation, fuel costs, driver-guide service fees, a delicious lunch, entrance fees to various attractions, and insurance. Travelers are encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
