Escaping from the cinema, a "big-eyed monster" appears in a latte cup

The movie *Monsters University* is extremely popular, and its related merchandise is selling well. A café in Taipei recently launched a "Big-Eyed Monster Latte," attracting crowds of fans to visit. The moment the adorable big-eyed monster is served in a cup, people can’t help but exclaim, “I really don’t want to drink it.”

Made with green matcha mixed with milk foam, and decorated with eyes, a mouth, and teeth, the cute big-eyed monster comes to life. Its lifelike appearance makes it seem as if the creature has truly jumped out of the screen and onto the cup, making it hard to drink for fear of ruining its mischievous, quirky expression. In addition to the big-eyed monster "flavor," the café also offers a three-eyed monster latte, both based on green matcha. Just looking at them makes it difficult to take a sip.

As for how the big-eyed monster-flavored matcha latte tastes? Customer Miss Gao said that the owner might have increased the amount of matcha powder to highlight the monster’s expression, making it slightly powdery and a bit astringent. However, no matter the taste, this big-eyed monster latte has become a craze. According to the café's announcement, due to overwhelming demand, the popular big-eyed monster latte has temporarily run out of matcha powder and is unavailable for the time being. Those who wish to try it may have to wait a while longer.
