Chiayi’s “Sea Summer Festival” Kicks Off This Weekend – 3 Days and Nights of Non-Stop Fun

This July, Chiayi County is heating up big time. To promote marine culture, the Chiayi County Government has launched a double-festival bonanza that combines revelry and water activities — the“2013 Sea Summer Festival”, and the“Budai Yacht Harbor Five-in-One”water experience event on the 20th.

The Sea Summer Festival is making its debut as a three-day, three-night extravaganza featuring high-energy concerts, including a “Rock Night,” a “Golden Melody Night,” and an “Idol Night,” all under the themes of “music, creativity, and interaction.” Renowned artists such as Power Station, Nicky Wu, Eddie Chen, Bii Shijian, Genie Zhuo, Pan Yuwen, Stone, and TPF will be taking the stage. Each afternoon also features a creative costume street carnival, parent-child theater, magic shows, DIY workshops, beach ball games, and beer drinking contests. The festival finale on the 21st will culminate in a spectacular high-altitude music-themed fireworks display.

Also making its debut this year is the“Budai Yacht Harbor Five-in-One” water experience event, scheduled from9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 20th, offering activities such as yacht rides, sailing, jet skiing, doughnut rides, and canoeing — each experience just NT$20.。

Additionally, there will be fun activities like a “Stamp Collection Raffle” and “Check-in on Facebook for Gifts.” Participants in the lucky draw could win great prizes such as an ASUS 7T tablet, a Transcend 1TB portable hard drive, or an itsgoodsleep health memory pillow.
