The old hotel "Lanmei Grand Hotel" has been renovated and transformed into the stunning "East Coast Star."

The long-established "Lanmei Grand Hotel" on Xin San Road in Keelung was reopened on the 16th with a new look as the "East Coast Star Boutique Hotel." The operator invested NT$30 million to create 35 rooms, including economy, standard, premium, and cozy family room types, with summer discounts of up to NT$2,400 on various room categories.

The operator stated that the original Lanmei Grand Hotel had been around for decades. The newly renovated hotel on the same site incorporates eco-friendly concepts and features a minimalist, stylish design. The hotel offers both Chinese and Western-style buffet breakfasts and provides brand-new down bedding. The renovated hotel has 35 rooms, with room rates ranging from NT$3,200 to NT$4,800 depending on the type. For the summer season, various room types are available at discounted prices of NT$1,600, NT$1,800, NT$2,000, and NT$2,400.

The Keelung City Government Transportation and Tourism Division stated,The Lanmei Grand Hotel was once the only hotel in Keelung and was even featured in a Japanese magazine, attracting many Japanese and Taiwanese tourists to visit.
