Revamped and reopened by the Tuna Family hotel chain after more than ten years of abandonment, the property aims to boost the commercial vitality of the old train station area by integrating attractions such as a cinema complex.

Huang Meirong, CEO of the Tuna Family hotel chain, stated that Taitung Sailfish Golden Classic Business Hotel is the fourth tourist hotel under the Tuna Family brand, following Kaohsiung Black Marlin Hotel, Kaohsiung Bigeye Tuna Business Hotel, and Hualien Mambo Fish Four Seasons Hotel. With 142 rooms, the new hotel hires mostly local Taitung residents for all positions except senior management, helping to increase local employment. The finest ingredients and building materials were also used in its construction.
Having worked closely with fishermen for many years, the hotel operators hold deep respect for their hard work at sea. To honor them and reflect the serene, oceanic experience of travel, the hotel group has named its properties under a “Fish Series.”

The new hotel offers 142 various types of luxury guest rooms, featuring seven room types based on layout and facilities, providing greater comfort for long-distance travelers. Located in downtown Taitung, the hotel balances tranquility with convenience. Its distinctive Baroque-style exterior is uniquely designed. Nightly room rates range from approximately NT$2,500 to NT$5,000.
