Feeling down? Take a healing trip to "Wushibi" (Black Stone Nose)! Wushibi Fishing Port in Changbin Township, Taitung County, was once voted the champion of the "Roaming the World" category in Taiwan’s Top 10 Most Charming Fishing Ports. The scattered wooden rafts in Wushibi Fishing Port float leisurely on the azure seawater, resembling a painting. It has even been described by netizens as a place where “just standing here and daydreaming can make all your worries vanish,” offering a truly magical therapeutic effect for the soul.

Wushibi is the largest columnar basalt formation in Taiwan. It extends from Ningpu Village in Changbin Township out into the sea, forming a prominent cape. Viewed from afar, it resembles a human nose sticking out, hence the name Wushibi (Black Stone Nose). According to the local fishermen's association, in 2009, Wushibi Fishing Port was selected as the champion in the "Roaming the World" category of Taiwan’s Top 10 Most Charming Fishing Ports, attracting many backpackers and cyclists touring the island to visit this pilgrimage site.

The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration stated that Wushibi Fishing Port has shallow waters, preventing large fishing boats from docking. Local fishermen have to paddle wooden rafts to deeper waters to transfer to larger boats for fishing. There are two observation decks at the highest point of Wushibi, offering views of Sanxiantai and the Coastal Mountains. The local fishermen's association noted that Wushibi Fishing Port also often attracts sea fishing enthusiasts due to its shallow waters. Some anglers say that even if they catch nothing, it’s fine — just being here puts them in a great mood.

The main road around Wushibi Fishing Port is the famous "Blue Highway," Provincial Highway 11. Along the way, bright red hibiscus flowers bloom, accompanied by the blue Pacific Ocean and a gentle sea breeze. Although there is considerable traffic, it is rarely noisy. Instead, you hear the crisp sound of waves hitting the rocks.

Transportation Information
By Car: Northbound — From downtown Taitung, take Provincial Highway 11 northbound, pass Chenggong and Sanxiantai, then turn right at the 98 km mark to arrive; Southbound — From downtown Hualien, take Provincial Highway 11 southbound, pass Baxiandong and Changbin, then turn left at the 98 km mark to arrive.
By Bus: Northbound — From Taitung Railway Station, take a Hualien-bound or Donghwa Bus coastal line bus to Jingpu or Hualien, and get off at the Wushibi stop; Southbound — From Hualien Railway Station, take a Taitung- or Chenggong-bound Hualien or Donghwa Bus coastal line bus, and get off at the Wushibi stop.
