Taiwan’s Largest “Golden Diamond Night Market” Opens  Super-Luxurious Restroom Features a Fountain

Boasting the title of Taiwan’s largest night market, Kaohsiung’s “Golden Diamond Night Market” officially opened today (26th). The southern part of Kaohsiung has gained two new popular night market destinations—the Golden Diamond Night Market in Qianzhen District opened today, while the Triumph Night Market is set to open next Monday, the 29th. Both night markets are located near the former Blue Lagoon area on Section 4, Triumph Boulevard, housing nearly 1,000 stalls in close proximity. Among them, the Golden Diamond Night Market highlights its “super-luxurious restroom” comparable to those found in five-star hotels, which also features LED ambient lighting.

Covering an area of 7,000 ping, the Golden Diamond Tourist Night Market has over 500 operating stalls. In addition to various food snacks, it also includes lifestyle goods, clothing, art crafts, and more, and is touted as the first legally registered and approved night market in the country. The opening event today featured performances by singers such as Huang Fei and Wu Shumin, and the first three days will also see the distribution of 4,000 consumer voucher red packets, totaling NT$200,000.

The restroom in the Golden Diamond Night Market features a fountain and LED ambient lighting—a rarity among night markets in Taiwan. Stepping inside feels like entering the restroom of a five-star hotel. The space is also quite spacious, breaking away from the traditional impression of night markets as crowded and messy. The Triumph Night Market, set to open on the 29th, covers 9,000 ping. Not only are its stalls uniquely arranged—organized by road names such as Yixin to Shiquan Roads, as well as Zhongshan and Zhonghua Roads in Kaohsiung—making it easy for consumers to know their location and convenient for meeting up or finding others.
