Reopening recruitment for new flight attendants  This year, no open audition but written screening instead

Always dreamed of becoming a flight attendant but never had the chance? China Airlines’ subsidiary, TransAsia Airways (复兴航空), is recruiting new talent, but what’s most different this year compared to previous years is that the first round will be a written review. Unlike past first rounds, which involved large-scale open auditions that used to take up an entire day for applicants, this year after the written screening comes a written exam and interviews. Finally, 75 candidates will be selected to fulfill their dream of becoming flight attendants.

China Airlines had just announced its results when TransAsia Airways released its recruitment news on the afternoon of the 26th, which quickly spread across related fan groups. The speed of the spread even surprised TransAsia’s public relations representative, Fang Jiawen: “This news should have only been released on the official website this afternoon. We originally planned to announce it to the media after the recruitment starts on the 29th. We didn’t expect so many people to already know. However, as for the dates of the written test and interviews, the final notice will still be provided later.”

The written screening preliminary round runs from July 29 to August 19. Paper applications are required, and applicants need to prepare the necessary documents and send them to No. 9, Section 1, Diding Boulevard, Neihu District, Taipei City, before the deadline. The second stage, the written exam, will be held in Taipei on August 27, divided into two time slots: from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The final selection is expected to take place on September 4 and 5. After the final selection, a medical examination will follow. Most importantly, both eyes must have unaided vision of at least 0.1.
