The biggest in Asia! The luxury cruise ship "Voyager of the Seas" visits Taiwan

Asia’s largest international luxury cruise ship, the VOYAGER OF THE SEAS, carrying 2,675 passengers from China, Europe, and the United States, visited Taiwan. On the 26th, its first stop was Port of Hualien, making it the largest tonnage and most passenger-carrying cruise ship to ever dock there since the port opened. After leaving Hualien, it continued on to Keelung Port and Taichung Port.

The Port of Hualien Branch stated that the Voyager of the Seas’ first visit to Hualien made it the largest cruise ship to ever arrive at the port. Upon its arrival, tugboats performed a water-spraying salute, while Hualien County Government invited Amis indigenous people to perform traditional dances to welcome the ship, and also presented a rose stone plaque in the shape of Taiwan.

The Voyager of the Seas is a Bahamas-flagged luxury cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It measures 311 meters in length, weighs 137,276 tons, and has a draught of 9 meters. Aside from being the largest in Asia, it is also the third-largest in the world. The cruise ship arrived at Keelung Port on the 27th and will continue to visit Taichung Port before returning to Beijing by the end of July.
