Hot air balloons take off at Clear Lake — a “polar bear” soars into the sky

The hot air balloon event at Clear Lake in Kaohsiung continues to draw huge crowds. Yesterday (27th), a “polar bear” surprisingly appeared on site, flying into the sky with lucky members of the public and the polar bear mascot to enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the lake. The extraordinary sight of a polar bear soaring through the sky left onlookers amazed and feeling incredibly fortunate.

Taiwan’s first lakeside hot air balloon event offers stunning panoramic views of Clear Lake — with shimmering reflections on the water, creating a truly picturesque scene. The event runs from today until August 11th. Additionally, every Saturday evening from 19:00 to 19:15, there will be the nation’s first-ever underwater illusion light show, combining hot air balloons with laser effects, lighting, and water dance music for a dazzling spectacle that enhances the dreamy atmosphere with reflections on the lake surface.

Yesterday (27th), Coca-Cola held the “Coca-Cola Bear Summer Party” at Chuanxizhai in Clear Lake. At 5 PM, Coca-Cola’s famous mascot — the polar bear — made an appearance. Two lucky members of the public were randomly selected to fly into the sky with the polar bear mascot and enjoy the aerial views of the lake. Attendees described the experience of flying with the polar bear as truly once-in-a-lifetime.

Hot air balloons are available daily from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Each flight lasts 5 minutes and costs 500 NTD. The first 100 riders each day will also receive a bottle of black canned sports drink — Black Sugar Fin. Between 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, visitors can also enjoy walk-in hot air balloon experiences, thrilling hot air balloon flame shows, and photo opportunities in the balloon basket. During these hours, there is also a hot air balloon launch demonstration at the top of every hour.
