RAPL Pompion Fruit's first overseas store opens; nearly 100 people line up before opening

The monthly bestseller "RAPL Pompion Fruit," which sells 250,000 units per month, opened its first overseas store on December 22 at A8, Taipei XinYi New World, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. Although the department store doesn’t open until 11:00 AM, people started queuing up as early as 9:30 AM, and by 11:00 AM when official sales began, the line had already reached nearly 100 people.

On its opening day, RAPL Pompion Fruit quickly attracted a crowd eager to try it out, with nearly 100 people lining up before 11:00 AM. The average wait time was 1 to 2 hours, and even in the afternoon, the queue didn’t thin out. It’s expected that the weekend crowds will be even larger, with wait times potentially exceeding 2 hours.

RAPL Pompion Fruit is a specialty shop offering freshly baked custard apple pies. These crispy pastries encase apple chunks and a rich custard filling, delivering a delightful combination of flaky crust, sweet apples, and creamy custard flavor. The product achieved remarkable success in Japan, selling 250,000 units per month. RAPL Pompion Fruit's three main features are its 144-layer flaky pastry, carefully selected Aomori apples (harvested with leaves intact), domestically sliced apples, and fresh milk custard filling.

In Taiwan, each RAPL Pompion Fruit pie is priced at NT$119, with a box of 4 pies (packaged) for NT$449. Each person is limited to purchasing 4 pies.
