Although the restaurant is called a dumpling house, it’s certainly not just your run-of-the-mill place like Bafang Yunji that only sells dumplings.
Their menu includes noodle soups, side dishes, steamed and pan-fried snacks, as well as millet porridge. Their beef wraps and prawn dumplings are must-try recommendations you can’t miss out on!

I was so happy to bring Mommy Mi here to try this newly opened Jiaozi Hu Dumpling House. I had seen their big signboard outside before featuring her favorite dumplings, so as soon as I had the time, I brought her here right away!

%ding〗It stands out even more at the triangular storefront at the bustling intersection under Minquan Bridge. The tiger on the Jiaozi Hu logo looks bold and proud, making you feel the dumplings inside must be just as impressive!

%ding⊥fu?A At the entrance, you can already see the staff busily preparing ingredients and buns inside.

Don’t know what to order if it’s your first time at Jiaozi Hu like Mitte?
The restaurant thoughtfully lists all the chef’s recommended must-try dishes!

%ding〗At Jiaozi Hu Dumpling House, they offer Northern-style dumplings and traditional Taiwanese buns for lunch, combining the essence of both Taiwanese and northern Chinese cuisine.

%ding∫hu The first thing I ordered today was the “Today’s Special” and four freshly made prawn dumplings.

%?The dining area was packed, which goes to show how good the food really is.

During meal times, Jiaozi Hu Dumpling House in Fuyuan is really packed like sardines — no exaggeration, it’s like McDonald’s during peak hours.
There were also many tables where customers had already left, but the place was so busy that the tables hadn’t been cleared yet, so we just had to wait a bit longer.

After filling out the order sheet, just take it to the counter to pay and place your order. Then you can go prepare some sauces or have some millet porridge and a cup of black date tea while you wait.
A friendly reminder: it gets very busy during meal times, and everything is made to order, so you might have to wait a while, just like at Dachenji Noodle Shop in the 737 Lane Food Street.

%ding⌒∶Millet porridge is free to enjoy at the Fuyuan branch!

I rarely see millet porridge, and it felt quite fresh to try. It looks a lot like corn chowder, but the taste is definitely completely different.

%ding⌒∶Millet porridge has a very mild flavor on its own, but it’s oddly satisfying — I ended up drinking bowl after bowl!

I remember millet porridge being sweet, but Jiaozi Hu’s version is plain with no seasoning. If you want some sweetness, you’ll have to get sugar from the sauce station.
With the added sugar, it finally brought some joy back to my life.

%ding〔he prawn dumplings are priced at 85 NT$/4 pieces

Right on top of the dumpling is a whole, intact grass prawn!
At first glance, the price might seem steep, but the moment you take the first bite, you’ll feel it’s worth it — it’s about the same price as what you’d pay for similar dumplings at a Hong Kong-style tea house.

It’s no exaggeration to say the prawn dumplings are one of the signatures of Jiaozi Hu Dumpling House. They’re so big!! The quality is on par with any premium Hong Kong-style tea house.

The filling inside the prawn dumplings is hearty and gives a satisfying bite — you can tell Jiaozi Hu didn’t skimp on the meat or cut any corners with these dumplings.

This “Beef Wrap” is another over-the-top signature dish at Jiaozi Hu Dumpling House. You just can’t resist taking a selfie with it — you can tell just by looking at it that this beef pancake was made with lots of love to treat me well XD

%ding∨Hxi??"50 yuan per serving (4 pieces)
How outrageous is the beef wrap from Jiaozi Hu?
First of all, the wrap’s outer crust is outrageously crispy,
then, the scallions inside are outrageously generous,
next, the beef wrapped inside is outrageously delicious,
and finally, just sprinkling some salt and pepper on top is simply outrageously perfect!!!!!!!
I won’t say any more, in case you think I’m being too outrageous.

But honestly, for those who can’t eat scallions, isn’t there way too much of it? Are you expecting me to open the wrap and eat it that way?

%ding∨Hyu?juan"30 yuan per bowl
This bowl of beef ramen looks really super ordinary, it doesn’t stir even the tiniest ripple in my heart, and I even feel like asking my mom if I got scammed.

%ding∥?ヅHzhe ge wei dao zhen de hen you te dian de ramen

This bowl of beef ramen may seem unremarkable, but like fine wine that improves with age,
just pick up one of those chewy noodles with your chopsticks and slurp it down in one go—ahhh~~~ But to avoid staining your clothes and for easier digestion, it’s still best to eat it the usual way.

There are about four slices of beef in this bowl of beef ramen; although not thick, they are quite large,
they’re not dry or chewy, and they don’t get stuck in your teeth much, which is just so thoughtful ♥

This bowl of beef ramen also earned praise from Mom, who is famously picky about her food,
I’d also love to try the noodles from Jiaozi Hu’s original beef noodles to see if they’re just as good.

Although it was my first time dining at Jiaozi Hu, it seems to be somewhat well-known, no wonder the business is so good.
Jiaozi Hu Dumpling Restaurant’s prices and ingredients are very honest, the dining environment is clean and spacious, and there’s air conditioning for a comfortable meal.
It’s a pity I didn’t get to try many of the classic chef-recommended dishes; next time I must try the delicious shrimp dumplings (shrimp water dumplings)!
Jiaozi Hu also has other branches; if you’re far from Neihu, you can look for a nearby branch to dine closer to home.
But go while you can—they only operate until 9 PM!!
I heard that “Wu Hua Ma” serves dishes very similar to Jiaozi Hu’s, next time I’ll have to check out their flavors too.
