Beaches, sunsets, music, and gourmet food – experience the romantic charm of Yunlin’s sandbars

The "Kouhu Sunset Sandbar Dinner," a gathering combining elements such as music, sunset, gourmet food, and sandbars, concluded successfully on the 27th. However, the cool sea breeze gently blowing and the experience of strolling on the moist, soft sandy beach created a romantic and enchanting atmosphere that left visitors reluctant to leave, with many saying they would definitely come back.

The "Kouhu Sunset Sandbar Dinner" took place on the Wai San Ding Sandbar off Kouhu in Yunlin, where nearly a hundred participants enjoyed a musical feast on the sandbar under the setting sun. The Yunlin County Government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau noted that this event was a collaboration between the Happy Fruit Feast team and the Kouhu Township Industry and Tourism Development Alliance Association. Departing from Taizi Fishing Port by rubber boat, the dinner featured a journey designed around local specialty ingredients and landscapes, integrating regional industries with the goal of promoting Kouhu’s local industry and tourism.

On the day, nearly a hundred people took leisure boats to enjoy the coastal scenery and oyster farming ecology along the way. Upon arriving at the sandbar, everyone eagerly took off their shoes and waded through the water onto the sand. In the end, they dined on a European-style buffet at a beautiful table set against the backdrop of sea and sky, experiencing a romantic dinner dedicated to music, sunset, gourmet food, and the sandbar.

To allow all participants to enjoy the romantic moments of the sandbar concert together, the Happy Fruit Feast team had been setting up the event venue on the sandbar early in the morning under the blazing sun. Yunlin County Magistrate Su I-fen stated that Kouhu in Yunlin is an uninhabited sandbar, free from pollution and noise, where one can truly feel the romance of a sandbar dinner. She also expressed hope that more people could come and experience it.
