The Hong Kong Tourism Board has partnered with a mobile messaging app to launch the first official tourism community account in Taiwan, which officially went live on August 1. Hong Kong has always been a beloved travel and shopping paradise for Taiwanese, especially among young people who enjoy flying to the nearby destination for a vacation. The Hong Kong Tourism Board has partnered with a mobile messaging app to launch the first official tourism community account in Taiwan, which officially went live on August 1. The campaign includes a daily draw for 80 pairs of Cathay Pacific air tickets at buy one get one free, as well as a variety of animated stickers for mobile users to download.

The WeChat official account "Hong Kong Together Travel," which officially launched on August 1, allows users to search for the ID: hktbtw, select "Follow," and reply with the number "1" to join the lucky draw. Participants have the chance to win a pair of Cathay Pacific round-trip tickets to Hong Kong at the buy one get one free price of NT$4,888 (before tax). For ten consecutive days, 80 lucky winners will be selected each day, and users can find out if they’ve won instantly after replying. Additionally, there are 11 adorable animated Piglet (McDull) stickers and one Q-version Cathay Pacific airplane sticker available for download.

Xu Wei-ni, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board in Taiwan, said: "Taiwan sees up to 2 million visitors to Hong Kong every year, with young people making up 60% of that number. We chose WeChat as our partner because it aligns with the usage habits of young people. By using interactive methods to promote Hong Kong’s attractions, we aim to help users learn more about Hong Kong. By staying engaged with 'Hong Kong Together Travel,' everyone can become a Hong Kong expert."

This ten-day consecutive giveaway offers 80 pairs of air tickets each day, totaling 800 prize-winning opportunities. Each account holder can enter the draw once per day. Winners must complete their Hong Kong trip by September 15. Meanwhile, Hong Kong is currently in the midst of its summer sales bonanza, practically a discount paradise, with brands offering discounts as low as 70% off. The newly opened June flagship store of UK fast fashion brand Topshop, as well as H&M, A&F, and GAP, are all located nearby. Now is the perfect time to visit Hong Kong.
