Where is the Senchun Freedom Camping Area? How does all-inclusive camping work? The campsite is located in the TouShe Basin near Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, a serene and picturesque spot surrounded by distant mountains and nearby water. The camping area is shaded by trees and lush with greenery, allowing you to breathe in fresh air to your heart’s content. At night, under one of the least light-polluted skies, you can enjoy a sky full of stars. As for “all-inclusive camping,” as the name suggests, it covers everything from round-trip transportation and tent equipment to ingredients and cookware. There are also staff to set up tents and teach you how to cook outdoors. All you need to do is bring a suitcase and a happy heart, and you’re all set to check into nature Up.

★ Craft Museum / DIY Kids' Toys with Macaw Flight Simulation
The Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute was established in Caotun, Nantou in 2008. Though not widely known, it houses an incredibly rich collection of crafts, along with a children's toy workshop and a Happy Forest Children's Craft Experience Area. Here, both kids and adults can make their own toys together, passing on the childhood memories of parents and rediscovering the purest joys of play.

★ Active Basin Get Moving / Experience a Bouncing Natural Water Bed
Formed over millions of years by the accumulation of grassy peat soil, the active basin has bouncing earth！ Rich in organic matter, the grassy peat soil is firm yet elastic, like a giant wobbly water bed. Running and swaying on it is a blast. The water bed wetlands are also planted with Australian tea trees, so while bouncing around, you can also learn about the growing environment and enchanting aroma of the Australian tea tree.

★ Taiwan’s Version of Giethoorn / Paddle Canoes Through the Canals
The TouShe Active Basin was originally a shallow lake, but as the water receded over time, it turned into a muddy peat basin, also known as the Mambo Field. It’s a geographical marvel in itself, and now with small bridges, flowing water, and boat channels, the villagers have worked together to transform it into a 1.7-kilometer-long Taiwanese version of the Giethoorn canals.
Paddling along, gliding in a canoe, humming a tune, a group enjoys a leisurely afternoon on the waterway, charmingly passing under small bridges, with eggplant forests along the shore – a scene straight out of a painting, as if you're in the Netherlands’ Giethoorn or on an adventure along the waterways of central Florida.
