Yilan Coast National Scenic Area announces closure of Guishan Island

Guishan Island, part of the Yilan Coast National Scenic Area and known for its "Eight Views of Guishan" such as "Guishan Sunrise" and "Turtle Tail Wagging," has been closed for one day due to poor weather conditions. Further updates will be announced on the official website depending on future weather.

Landslide on access road to two hiking trails in Taichung’s Sanshan National Scenic Area, currently under emergency repair

The Lishan Eco-Friendly Trail and Guangu Shaliao Trail within the Sanshan National Scenic Area in Wufeng, Taichung, are currently undergoing emergency repairs after a landslide affected the access roads. Visitors are advised to avoid the area for safety reasons.

Alishan Scenic Area experiences road closures due to heavy rain

The Alishan Scenic Area announced earlier on its official website that due to the impact of heavy rain, some roads have been cut off. As a result, the Yenyuan Pond Visitor Center has been temporarily closed and visitors are advised not to go there. In addition, the forest recreation area was closed at noon on the 21st and the reopening date has not yet been announced.

Matsu Scenic Area closes for one day on the 22nd due to equipment damage

On the outlying islands, the Beihai Recreation Area within the Matsu Scenic Area has sustained damage to railings and lighting equipment at the “Dahan Stronghold” and “Beihai Tunnel” due to the typhoon. To ensure visitor safety, the area will be closed all day on the 22nd for repairs. The reopening time will be announced separately, so visitors are advised to stay tuned.
