Christmas is just around the corner, and Universal Studios Japan is currently brimming with festive cheer. Not only can you hear Christmas songs playing all around the park, but there are also brand-new shows that you can only enjoy during this winter season. 1. Minion Christmas Crazy Party
This Christmas, the super cute and adorable Minions are throwing a party at Universal Studios Japan. The event kicks off with Charlie Brown and Snoopy, followed by floats featuring the Minions, Hello Kitty, and other characters dancing to upbeat and joyful music, accompanied by dancers. A parade of snowmen joins midway, interacting and playing with fans lining the route. In the end, visitors can even join the parade to dance and take photos up close. 2. Hogwarts™ Magic Night ~ Winter Magic ~
For the first time this winter, Universal Studios Japan uses brand-new lighting effects to bathe Hogwarts Castle in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Christmas magic, creating a romantic winter ambiance. The magical lights spread like blue waves from the top of the castle towers downward, with dreamy starlight enveloping the entire Hogwarts Castle. This is a must-see light show when you visit Universal Studios Japan this year.

The “Hogwarts™ Magic Night ~ Winter Magic ~” show runs daily 30 minutes after sunset at Hogwarts Castle. The sea-blue magical lights, like ocean waves, slowly cover the entire exterior wall of the castle from the tips of the towers after nightfall, making the nighttime castle seem alive.

With beams of magical light shooting from the tips of wizards’ wands, the exterior walls of the castle display stunningly vivid effects. Layers of dreamlike flowing light, combined with classic movie music, transport visitors straight into the Harry Potter film scenes, allowing them to spend a romantic winter evening alongside the main characters.
Showtimes: From now until February 28, 2018, 30 minutes after sunset until 30–60 minutes before park closing.

3. Angel’s Miracle III ~ The Voice of an Angel ~
An annual year-end highlight at Universal Studios Japan, the “Angel’s Miracle III ~ The Voice of an Angel ~” combines light shows, music, song and dance, and fireworks to create a spectacular performance. Using light projections on the walls of Gramercy Park in the New York area, it brings a wintry European atmosphere to life, delivering an epic song-and-dance visual feast.

As the performance reaches its climax, the world’s tallest certified Guinness World Record “light Christmas tree” is also illuminated. To the solemn singing of angels, dazzling fireworks shoot into the night sky, complemented by dynamic light projections and the glowing Christmas tree, taking visitors on a romantic and unforgettable winter dream journey.
