Taiwan’s High-Quality Tourism Bus Yunlin Beigang Prayer Line Begins Service – Free Rides Now Available

The “Beigang Prayer Line” is jointly operated by Chiayi Bus and Taihsi Bus companies. It integrates local industrial development, religious faith, and cultural arts unique to the county. The route departs from Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station, passing through Beigang, Tuku, Houbi, and Xiluo, with a total of 12 round-trip services per day. During the free promotion period, riders can save NT$380 on a round trip, significantly improving transportation accessibility in Yunlin. The offer has been well received since its launch, and in the future, more travel package deals combining transportation with attractions will be introduced to provide the public with greater options.

Yunlin County Government has curated a diverse travel itinerary that combines the region’s most representative features — “agricultural specialties,” “prayer festivals,” and “cultural tourism” — to develop Yunlin’s unique “Beigang Prayer Line.” The route passes key local faith centers such as Beigang Chaotian Temple and Beigang Wude Temple, as well as sites representing Yunlin’s industrial development, including Yuanshun Sesame Oil Visitor Center, Xinglong Towel Visitor Factory, and Xiluo Daozhi Cloudy Forest Product Museum. In addition to spots like Xiluo Yanping Old Street and Beigang Story House, where visitors can experience the down-to-earth local culture of Yunlin, the line also includes the Yunlin Puppet Theater Museum, allowing drama enthusiasts to relive the classic tales and get up close with the traditional puppetry culture of their childhood memories.
