The Taoyuan Agricultural Expo closes but stays open to the public next year with 20 more exhibition areas

The “2017 Taoyuan Agricultural Expo” was held next to the Xinyi Weather Station at the Expo Base from April 22 and officially closed on May 14. Though the event lasted less than a month, it attracted a large number of visitors with its rich and lively activities. However, many people still missed the chance to attend. Don’t worry if you didn’t make it—after the expo ended, management was handed over to the Xinyi District Office. In the future, the expo exhibition areas, as well as services such as security, guided tours, cleaning, and traffic control, will be maintained so that the site can continue operating and the public can still visit.

The Taoyuan Agricultural Expo not only created the charm and tourism economy of Xinyi but also fostered a sense of pride in their hometown. With the participation of local communities and residents, the expo presented a unique look and became an independent brand. The Taoyuan City Government also stated that it will begin preparations for formal operations and develop the next phase of the expo’s features. Next year (2018), there are expected to be 20 exhibition areas available for visitors.
