Typhoon Trami followed Typhoon Nesat, causing many scenic spots to reopen to the public only to be urgently closed again. ETtoday ETToday East Asia Travel Cloud has compiled the current opening status of scenic areas for everyone. Please exercise caution when going out.

Central and southern national parks are on alert for sudden heavy rain and have all implemented preemptive closures.

In addition to Taroko and Shei-Pa national parks, which announced the cessation of public access on Tuesday (the 27th) after issuing a sea warning and posted notices on their official websites urging the public not to visit, Yushan National Park also reminds the public that due to its high-altitude terrain and loose soil, rockfalls occur frequently. The public is advised to temporarily avoid the area, and transportation within the park has been restricted or closed as a precautionary measure.

Kenting National Park’s coastal waters have been closed to the public since Friday (the 23rd) due to high waves and swells, and remain closed to this day. After the Central Weather Bureau issued a sea warning, red flags have been erected on the beaches to remind the public not to swim or play in the water to avoid danger.

Huatung Valley Scenic Area implements preemptive road closures

Due to the impact of Typhoon Trami and to prevent sudden heavy rainfall, the Huatung Valley National Scenic Area closed the Suao to Chongde section of Provincial Highway 9 on Thursday (the 28th) at 6 PM.

Xilaya Scenic Area closes bridges in Zuozhen and Xinhua districts

Due to the heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon Trami, the Xilaya Scenic Area has currently closed bridges in the Zuozhen and Xinhua districts, including the Minsheng Bridge and Zuozhen Bridge in Zuozhen, as well as the Bengouxi Bridge and Xiajia Bridge in Xinhua.

Sanxian Scenic Area implements flexible road controls starting Wednesday (the 28th)

Within the Sanxian Scenic Area, some sections of the Lishan Scenic Area have experienced slope collapses, and the park has implemented regular controls. Traffic on Provincial Highway 8 toward Dayuling is subject to flexible or hourly releases, but the public is still advised not to visit mountainous areas during the typhoon.

Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Yanxiang Coastal Line bus suspended all day on Thursday (the 29th)

The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Yanxiang Coastal Line bus, which offers access to the Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Scenic Area, has been suspended for one day in coordination with Chiayi County Government’s announcement of work and class suspensions today (the 29th).

The Forestry Bureau announces the temporary closure of all 18 managed forest recreation areas

Affected by Typhoon Trami, the Forestry Bureau has announced the temporary closure of all 18 managed forest recreation areas—including Taipingshan, Neidong, Manyueyuan, Dongyanshan, Guanwu, Daxueshan, Baxianshan, Hehuanshan, Wuling, Aowanda, Alishan, Tengzhi, Shuangliu, Kenting, Zhiben, Xiangyang, Fuyuan, and Chinan—on the 29th. All trail systems and nature reserves in these areas are also closed. The Alishan Forest Railway, Taipingshan Bouncing Train, and Wulai Train are also suspended.

Additionally, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (Craft Center) and the Hualien Hot Air Balloon Festival are also closed.
