“A Sea of Eagles Soaring Across the Sky” – Kenting Launches Eagle-Watching Event

The Grey-faced Buzzard, which migrates through Kenting in large numbers every autumn, is a unique spectacle in the area. The Kenting National Park Headquarters is holding a two-day, one-night eagle-watching event from September 28 to 29, allowing the public to witness the special phenomenon of “a sky filled with eagles.”

Autumn is the best time to watch eagles in Taiwan, and Kenting is the top destination. The Grey-faced Buzzard, which migrates through the area around mid to late September each year, is the most numerous raptor in Kenting, with a record high of over 220,000 individuals in a single season back in 2004. The park management notes that during this season, visitors may have the chance to witness sights such as “seas of eagles,” “skies full of eagles,” and “columns of eagles.”

To allow more people to experience a beautiful encounter with the Grey-faced Buzzards in Kenting, the park headquarters is organizing a two-day, one-night “Autumn, When They Take Flight — They’re Eagles” eagle-watching experience event on the 28th and 29th of this month. The activities will include tips on eagle-watching in Kenting, night exploration of She Ding Ecology, and eagle-watching at She Ding Ling Xiao Pavilion.
