"The Chef" is all the rage — Tainan launches a movie location guide map

With the popularity of the movie "The Chef" continuing to soar and box office earnings approaching 200 million yuan, its filming locations have become must-visit spots for fans. The Tainan City Tourism Bureau has capitalized on the movie’s craze by producing a "The Chef" movie location guide map to help visitors easily find and take photos at these iconic spots.

The guide map introduces and connects various filming locations in Tainan, including Zhongxiao Street, Mazu Tower Tianhou Temple, the Love Tree, Houpi Railway Station, the No. 84 Freeway, Nansi Police Station, Lutao Yang Jiang Family Ancestral House, the Lotus Field Search, Liukong Wharf, and Guiren Renshou Temple. For example, the location of the "Aifeng Snack Shop" featured in the drama is at Mazu Tower Tianhou Temple on Zhongxiao Street and the adjacent residential buildings.

The "The Chef" movie location guide map has been available for pick-up since September 8 at Tainan Railway Station, Xinying Railway Station, Tainan HSR Station, Tainan Airport, and the No Rice No Fun Tourist Service Center (limited quantities), and interested visitors are encouraged to make use of it. It can also be downloaded from the Tainan Tourism website (http://tour.tainan.gov.tw/).

Additionally, to help fans experience traditional Taiwanese cuisine, the guide map recommends featured restaurants in the Tainan area that were either winners or finalists in the 2012 and 2013 "Taiwan Group Meal Showdown" event.
