All-you-can-eat provider goes all out, now launching "authentic Japanese yukata" experience

For many Taiwanese visiting Japan, one of the favorite activities is wearing an authentic yukata to experience the rare Japanese ambiance in Taiwan. In Kyoto, transforming into an authentic "sakura girl" doesn't come cheap — it typically costs around 2,500 yen, about NT$700, but Japan enthusiasts still flock to it.

Now, you don’t have to go to Japan to wear an authentic yukata. An all-you-can-eat provider has partnered with a kimono shop from Kyoto — for an additional NT$250–350, you can try on a genuine imported Japanese yukata and get instant Polaroid photos. Combining food and experiential marketing, this move has indeed sparked a lot of buzz.

The restaurant is Hinoya Japanese Cuisine, known for its refined all-you-can-eat Japanese cuisine. To enhance customers’ holistic Japanese experience, after the highly popular yukata afternoon tea launched in autumn, they’ve upgraded it for winter with a limited-time yukata afternoon tea event — simply book the buffet-style afternoon tea (NT$540 + 10%).

This experience is currently only available during the afternoon tea session on December 22. It is open to all genders, and yukata options are available for both adults and children, with staff on hand to assist with dressing. If you can’t make it to Japan, gather your friends for a visit to Shin Yeh on this day — aside from savoring authentic Japanese cuisine, you can also immerse yourself in Japanese culture and atmosphere.
