Eat up！The Taipei Food Expo kicks off on September 14 and 15 at the Yuanshan Flower Expo Park’s Splendor Exhibition Hall. Featuring over 150 well-known dining establishments from Taipei, the event offers free admission, allowing visitors to enjoy seven themed culinary zones. Delicious food is available at discounts of up to 50% off, plus special deals such as “Early Bird Discounts,” “Check-in to Get Free Food,” and “Shopping for Prizes.” Over 3,500 giveaways worth a total of more than NT$200,000 will be handed out.

This year’s food expo features seven themed exhibition areas: Chinese Cuisine, Authentic Local Dishes, Sweet Happiness, Thai Delicacies, International Flavors, Delicious Sauces, and Night Market Snacks. In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the organizers have also invited renowned bakeries to offer affordable Mid-Autumn gifts. Among them, “Smile Queen” macaron gift boxes and “The 8th Bite Pineapple Cake” taro pineapple cakes will be sold on-site at 20% off their original prices.

The Taipei City Government’s Department of Economic Development stated that this year’s event has specially gathered famous night markets from across Taipei, including Linjiang Street, Shilin, Guangzhou Street, Nangang Airport, Raohe Street, and Ningxia. Popular night market snacks such as oyster omelets, squid thick soup, takoyaki, and salt-and-pepper chicken will be on offer. The renowned “Millennium Banquet” from Ningxia Night Market will be available at a special exhibition price of NT$2,500 — NT$500 cheaper than the original price. Other themed cuisines are also discounted by up to 50%, along with a “Hundred-Yuan Gourmet Tour” featuring great value eats.
