The 2013 Sun Moon Lake International Fireworks Music Carnival is issuing a wide “mask call” to the public！On the evening of October 12th at Sun Moon Lake, the “Great Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Concert – Phantom Voices” will not only feature a dazzling fireworks show but also live performances of classic tunes from the opera “The Phantom of the Opera.” Attendees are invited to come in masks to create the most spectacular masquerade party in the history of Sun Moon Lake concerts.

The “Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Concert,” now in its sixth consecutive year, adopts the theme “Phantom Voices” this year. In addition to the stunning fireworks display set to music, it specially invites soprano Fu Shangzhen and tenor Wang Dian, under the baton of conductor Jiang Jingbo and the performance of the Xingxing Zhi Shi Orchestra, to perform the greatest opera work by Andrew Lloyd Webber, “The Phantom of the Opera.” The organizers have also recreated the opera’s main setting — an ancient opera house — on the shores of Sun Moon Lake, allowing the audience to immerse themselves as if they were seated in the grand theater, enjoying the auditory feast brought by the performers.
