The Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival opens on the 23rd, coinciding with the first anniversary of Lihpao OUTLET MALL. The resort is offering a one-day tour package for under NT$300, which includes visiting the flower carpet in the afternoon, followed by fun at Lihpao Theme Park and shopping at the outlet mall. The deal, exclusive to Taichung residents, is valid until New Year’s Day 2018.

In addition to the two-week-long International Flower Carpet Festival, Houli also offers the championship-level Lihpao Resort, where the Sky Dream Ferris wheel has specially designed Christmas cabins and a dazzling holiday light show. The resort noted that the light show features 10 dynamic displays, cycling every 85 seconds, offering visitors a festive surprise when looking up.

The park also hosts a vibrant “POPA Two Christmases, Double Surprises” parade and a 7-meter-tall “Rainbow Christmas Tree” shining brightly. The resort stated that due to high visitor numbers during the flower carpet festival, the city government has set up the “Laihu Blue Line” shuttle bus at the Third Parking Lot, departing daily at 8:20 AM with intervals of 20 to 30 minutes.

Police have planned traffic control measures for the Flower Carpet Festival from December 23 to January 7 of the following year, including vehicle bans in controlled zones, no left turns, or one-way traffic only. The five shuttle bus routes provide between 400 to 1,500 parking spaces. Visitors are urged to use public transport and follow police traffic directions.
