Tourism Center / Comprehensive Report
Every district has its own story and is filled with human warmth. The third edition of the “Taipei Human Touch WAY” creative districts event has arrived this year, featuring four themed districts: Dadaocheng, Wanhua, Kulun Street, and Tianmu. From now until November 25, there will be free district tours, cultural lectures, theater performances, and more. The event also connects with creative shops within each district, inviting the public to explore the human side of Taipei together.

The district exhibition kicks off on the 15th. The Dadaocheng district uses a Monopoly-style scavenger hunt to guide visitors through nearby historic sites and back alleys. Wanhua, themed “Happy Together,” offers free district tours where people can gather in groups to play spinning tops and drink herbal tea. Kulun Street focuses on family fun, inviting the Paper Windmill Theater Troupe to perform interactive plays that showcase human connection. The Tianmu district brings together local heritage shops and international specialty stores to highlight Tianmu’s multicultural character.
The Taipei City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs explained that “Human Touch WAY” consists of three elements: calling on those who enjoy creativity and are inspired by it to build an emotionally warm atmosphere using stories, ideals, and value-driven spaces. WAY refers to the direction of urban exploration and the way to realize one's ideals—pronounced similarly to the Chinese character for “flavor” (味) in “human touch.”

This year, in addition to inviting unique shops to join the creative districts, local cultural and creative workers have also co-designed the human touch found in the alleys of each district. Five shops from each district were selected to collaborate with language creators and journalists to produce themed tour signage, complete with QR codes for the public to access more information.
