Super-cute ducks in new outfits！ New Taipei’s “Christmas Ducks” burst into colorful bloom along the Sanchong riverside

To welcome the upcoming Christmas, the High-Level Riverbank Engineering Management Office of New Taipei City Government has specially designed a series of composite “Christmas Ducks” at the Duck-themed Park under the Zhongxing Bridge by the Tamsui River in Sanchong, featuring a mix of three elements: floral arrangements, windmills, and fabric. The little ducks are dressed in colorful Christmas outfits and wear red Santa hats, looking adorable and endearing, while their vibrant and dazzling colors are especially eye-catching.

In this “Christmas Ducks” project, festive Christmas hat-wearing ducks are presented, adorned with decorative elements such as bells, colorful balls, gifts, hearts, and lollipops to showcase the Christmas holiday atmosphere. Moreover, a variety of elements including floral arrangements, windmills, and fabric are used to present a look different from previous years. In addition, to create the imagery of ducks swimming in the water, the area beneath the ducks is decorated with a full array of windmills to mimic wave effects. When the breeze blows, it looks like ripples spreading across the surface, making the scene even more lively and vivid.

The High-Level Riverbank Engineering Management Office also reminds the public that if you want to fully take in the entire view of the Duck Park, it is recommended to overlook it from the adjacent top of the embankment, where the scenery is even more spectacular. Meanwhile, the Duck Park, located right next to the riverside, is also a great spot for leisurely walks, cycling, and photo opportunities. The public can visit here on weekends to enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle.

Transportation to Duck Park
1. From within the city, near Zhongxing Bridge, take the “Zhongxing River-Crossing Pedestrian Bridge” to reach the riverside embankment top walkway, where you can see the “Duck Park” outside the embankment.
2. From Huandao South Road in Sanchong District (near the embankment side), enter the high-level riverbank park (Zhongxiao Wharf) via the Zhongxiao River-Crossing Path, then head upstream (toward Xinzhuang and Banqiao) for about 1.3 kilometers (near Zhongxing Bridge) to reach the “Duck Park.”
