The Mid-Autumn long weekend is just around the corner. Want to go out but worried about crowds and driving? The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has partnered with 16 travel agencies to launch a promotional campaign from September 19 to October 31, offering “Buy 4, Get 1 Free.” Travelers can explore Taiwan by taking the “Taiwan Sightseeing Bus.”

To make traveling in Taiwan more convenient, since 2004, the Tourism Bureau has planned and introduced packaged tour itineraries for the “Taiwan Sightseeing Bus.” These tours depart daily and include one-day or half-day trips to transportation hubs, hotels, recreational areas, as well as airport and station pick-up and drop-off services. The number of passengers using the service has exceeded one million.

This year, in addition to adding new routes, the “Taiwan Sightseeing Bus” has expanded its offerings from 43 to 64 packaged tour itineraries, covering attractions such as Yilan, Northeast Coast, Yehliu, Yingge, Taichung, Lukang, Sun Moon Lake, Kaohsiung, Kenting, Taroko Gorge, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu.

With the upcoming Mid-Autumn long weekend and National Day holiday, public interest in travel is on the rise. The Tourism Bureau also encourages everyone to take advantage of the “Taiwan Sightseeing Bus” for their trips.
