Kinmen has its own Moses-parting-the-sea wonder too！ With its strong military heritage, Kinmen is dotted with former battle fortifications across the island. Among them, W038 outpost on Jiankong Islet is usually separated from Kinmen by the sea during high tide. But when the tide recedes, a winding stone path emerges, allowing visitors to land on the islet and explore its charm. Combining the scenery of a "path to heaven" and a "parting of the seas," it has become one of Kinmen’s new top ten scenic spots.

Jiankong Islet is located at the mouth of the Wujing River, featuring a uniquely rugged terrain. The islet retains remnants of former defensive positions and fortresses, and also houses a giant statue of Zheng Chenggong, all of which have become iconic sights on Jiankong Islet.

As the seawater recedes, the stone path connecting the two islets slowly emerges, like a hidden path to heaven beneath the sea. When visitors walk along the stone path, they can also admire the intertidal ecology on both sides. The giant oyster-shaped statues standing on either side of the path seem to act as guides, silently pointing toward Jiankong Islet no matter the tide—where lies a solitary pearl adrift in the sea.

It’s also one of the most beautiful spots in Kinmen to watch the sunset, offering photographers a chance to capture a uniquely atmospheric evening glow.
