Long-haul flight savior: "Hammock Bag" boosts cabin seat comfort

Traveling long-haul with young children is basically a nightmare for both parents and fellow passengers, and few people have pleasant experiences. These issues are largely about space—the cramped cabin limits kids' movement, and the seats are uncomfortable. To tackle this problem, overseas manufacturers have developedthe "travel hammock bag" (Fly LegsUp), which transforms airplane seats into something like a hammock.

According to the UK's Daily Mail, this product from the Australian company uses hooks to attach under the tray table, creating a hammock-like feel that supports the legs. This design takes pressure off the legs from having to stay on the floor, and includes an inflatable pillow so feet can rest on a soft cushion.

Weighing less than 500 grams and machine washable—considerate of carry-on weight limits—the hammock bag can also double as a baby hammock for storing toys when used with children. Users highly recommend it, especially for travelers flying long-haul with kids.
