New Taipei Water Bus Passengers Exceed 10,000; Free Ride Raffle Kicks Off

In the two months since its launch, New Taipei City’s water bus has received an enthusiastic response, with passenger numbers recently surpassing 10,000. The Transportation Bureau has specially launched a “10,000 Riders Raffle” event. Passengers who ride the water bus can join the draw, with major prizes including 3 bicycles and 400 free ride vouchers up for grabs.

The Transportation Bureau stated that the water bus commenced service on July 30, and as of September 22, ridership had exceeded 10,000. To thank the public for their support, the “Celebrate 10,000 Riders Water Bus Raffle Event” has been organized. From October 2 to October 13, each passenger per trip will receive one raffle ticket. After filling in the required information, passengers can drop the ticket into the raffle box on the boat for a chance to win prizes such as 10 free ride vouchers per person. The draw will be held publicly on October 14.

The water bus stops at Banqiao Huajiang Pier, Sanchong Zhongxiao Pier, and Taipei City Dadaocheng Pier. It operates from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, with 20 trips on weekdays and 30 trips on holidays. Each trip takes about 15 minutes, and the full fare for one segment is NT$15. The Transportation Bureau pointed out that if cabin space allows, passengers can also bring bicycles on board for free.
