When asked about the inspiration behind this creative idea, Chen Bin-feng, who was born in Oyster Liao, shared: “When I was a kid, mentaiko was very popular in my hometown. Compared to now, it’s a bit harder to get. ‘Designing this product is just to help everyone remember that beautiful memory from our childhood.’ The shop is also very particular about selecting high-quality mentaiko—it has little fishy taste, and each serving comes with eight pieces, which is quite a good deal.”
