Mandarin Oriental last welcomed Hyun Bin with a water sword for Jung Woo-sung, this time greeting Tom Cruise with a mummy chocolate

Following Hugh Jackman and Jung Woo-sung, international superstar “Tom Cruise” chose to stay at Mandarin Oriental Taipei during his visit to Taiwan. Like other celebrities before him, the hotel prepared a series of thoughtful arrangements. While Jung Woo-sung received a giant chocolate sword, Tom Cruise was greeted with an edible “mummy sarcophagus” chocolate as a welcome gift.

This time, Tom Cruise stayed in the grand and luxurious Presidential Suite at Mandarin Oriental Taipei, spanning 114 ping. The hotel also provided a range of thoughtful arrangements, including a giant folding fan card with a welcome message, the classic Mandarin Oriental panda, champagne, a selection of seasonal Taiwanese fruits, a personalized Italian Frette premium cotton bathrobe, macarons made from red-heart guava, and access to an exclusive gym.

On the previous occasion, the hotel’s pastry team showcased their creativity by crafting an 80-centimeter-tall, fully edible “sword” (just like the water sword in the drama) inspired by the sword piercing through Jung Woo-sung’s chest in the drama “Goblin,” as a welcome gift. This time, for Tom Cruise’s stay, the pastry team drew inspiration from the mummy sarcophagus in the movie “The Mummy” to create an 80-centimeter-tall, fully edible “mummy” chocolate as a welcome gift.

Since its opening three years ago, Mandarin Oriental Taipei has hosted numerous international superstars, including Madonna, “Deadpool” Ryan Reynolds, “Captain America” Chris Evans, Milla Jovovich, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Jung Woo-sung, Gianna Jun, Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Brigitte Lin, Jackie Chan, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Karen Mok, Fan Bingbing, and Shu Qi.
