300 booths across 6 major themes — Fine wine and gourmet delights kick off in Hong Kong's Central

The "Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival" will be held for four consecutive days from October 31 to November 3 at the new Central Harbourfront. Visitors can enjoy the stunning Victoria Harbour views in an open-air setting while savoring a wide selection of world-class wines and delicacies. This year (2013), there will be nearly 300 booths, with the wine zone divided into six major themes, and a newly added "Tasting Gallery" featuring limited-edition thematic wine seminars and gourmet wine pairing banquets by renowned chefs.

In November, major hotels and restaurants across Hong Kong will launch a series of exciting food-themed events. Shirley Tsui, Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board Taiwan Office, said: "Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month leverages the advantages of a rich blend of Chinese and Western cuisines and duty-free wine to showcase Hong Kong’s status as a gourmet paradise through a variety of vibrant activities, including wine and gourmet exhibitions, citywide restaurant promotions, and food carnivals." Selected by Forbes Traveler.com as one of the top ten international wine and dining events, the "American Express Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival" features nearly 300 wine and food booths, showcasing cuisine and beverages from 16 countries.

The venue includes six themed wine zones: the "Riedel Premium Wine Zone," "Country Exhibition Area," "Fine Wines Collection," "New Wine Discovery," "Party Wine Zone," and "Popular Wine Zone." All featured wines are carefully selected by professional sommeliers to ensure quality and diversity, enhancing visitors’ wine tasting experience. Although a new admission fee of HK$30 has been introduced, overseas visitors can apply online to receive a value-packed "Hong Kong Wine & Dine Welcome Package" worth HK$100, which includes an entry ticket, two standard wine tasting vouchers, and four food vouchers.
