Taipei International Travel Fair / “Grab” deals starting on the 18th – Record-breaking number of booths

The ITF Taipei International Travel Fair takes place from October 18 to 21 at the 1st and 2nd floors of Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 and Hall 3. With a total of 1,350 booths, a 12.5% increase, the scale has reached an all-time high. Since the fair starts one week earlier than in previous years and the Lunar New Year is earlier, falling at the end of January next year, travel agencies and airlines have begun their discount promotions ahead of schedule. Travelers planning to go abroad can take advantage of deeper discounts offered during the fair to save on travel costs. In addition, five-star hotel meal vouchers and accommodation vouchers at World Trade Center Hall 3, which rarely go on sale, are available at discounts ranging from 40% to 70% during the fair, with accommodation vouchers even going as low as 17% of the original price.

Themed “Love to Travel,” this year’s fair has gathered the largest number of giveaways in history, distributing over 50 free flights, 8,000 lucky bags, and bonus gifts for card spending over certain amounts over the four days, with giveaways worth over NT$10 million including more than 50 free flights. Visitors looking to grab lucky bags and card rewards can head to the “Homestay Restaurant Food Area” on the 2nd floor of Hall 1. Those interested in unique homestays and restaurant cuisine are advised to check out this area first to snag ultra-value accommodation vouchers as low as NT$999 for scenic spots like Qingjing and Kenting. Then visit the stage area for magic shows, food tastings, and DIY activities at tourist factory booths. Spend NT$3,000 to exchange for a raffle ticket at the service desk, with a chance to win great prizes worth NT$300,000 such as flights and bicycles.

This year’s ITF has expanded in scale, with exhibitors increasing from 850 to 900. Among them, newly participating countries making their debut include Argentina, Chile, Seychelles, the Netherlands, and Poland. The exhibition has grown to 1,350 booths, with 150 new booths added in Zone H on the 2nd floor of Hall 1. The size of international themed pavilions has also expanded, with Japan having a record-breaking 110 booths, plus Japan Airlines and Chuangzao Travel Agency totaling 118 booths, showcasing destinations from Hokkaido in Japan. Following are the U.S. Pavilion with 40 booths, Macau with 24, Malaysia with 20, South Korea with 19, and Hong Kong with 16 booths. On the domestic side, Yilan County’s themed pavilion leads with 38 booths, followed by the Council of Agriculture with 37, Miaoli County with 24, Taipei City Government with 20, and Taitung County with 18 booths.
