A Light of Taiwan: Taitung Hot Air Balloons Invited to Perform in Vietnam in November

Truly a light of Taiwan！The Taitung hot air balloon team has been invited to take flight in Vietnam. In November, Vietnam will host the 28th Asian Advertising Conference, which has specially invited the Taitung County Government’s hot air balloon team to participate. Taitung County Magistrate Huang Jian-ting will lead two hot air balloons and their team to Vietnam for the exhibition, using this opportunity to promote the 2014 Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival, as well as to provide Taiwan with the best possible international exposure ahead of hosting the next Asian Advertising Conference.

The hot air balloons representing the country are the Heart-Shaped Balloon and the Rainbow Balloon. Magistrate Huang will lead five pilots and these two balloons to Vietnam for a 21-day exhibition (November 10 to November 30), aiming to let the world see Taiwan and to make the world aware of Taitung’s Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The Taitung International Hot Air Balloon Festival was first held in 2011, and its popularity has grown year by year. This year, it attracted over 8.3 million visitors, generating a tourism output value of 1.6 billion NTD. To make next year even more exciting, two new balloons — the Pumpkin Balloon and the Hulk Balloon — will be added, along with the selection of 3 to 5 new hot air balloon pilots.
